Shipping & Packaging Policy

At Mohit Handicrafts, we are committed to ensuring that every shipment reaches our global wholesale clients safely, securely, and on time. As a trusted manufacturer and exporter of handcrafted textile trims, we follow international best practices in logistics, packaging, and export documentation to serve clients across the world.


Shipping Methods & Timelines

We offer multiple shipping options based on the order size, urgency, and destination:

  • Air Freight: Ideal for urgent, smaller-volume shipments. Delivery in 5–10 business days.
  • Sea Freight: Recommended for bulk orders. Delivery time ranges from 20–45 days depending on destination port.
  • Courier / Express Shipping: Available for sample orders and smaller consignments via DHL, FedEx, UPS, or Aramex. Delivery in 4–7 business days.

Dispatch Timelines:

  • Ready-to-ship items: Dispatched within 5–7 working days after payment confirmation.
  • Made-to-order or customized items: Dispatched within 2–4 weeks, depending on production complexity and volume.

Packaging Standards

We prioritize durability, sustainability, and presentation in all packaging.

  • Primary Packaging: Each item is neatly packed in polybags, fabric sleeves, or kraft paper wraps (based on the product type).
  • Bulk Packaging: Products are packed in sturdy cartons with protective fillers to prevent damage in transit.
  • Palletization: Available for large shipments, especially for sea freight. Each pallet is shrink-wrapped and properly labeled.
  • Eco-Friendly Packaging: We encourage and offer biodegradable or recyclable packaging on request, supporting global sustainability goals.

Custom Labeling & Branding

For our wholesale and white-label buyers, we offer the following customizations:

  • Client-branded labeling, barcoding, or SKU tags
  • Customized inner packaging (e.g., hang tags, belly bands, insert cards)
  • Special handling instructions for fragile or high-value products

Please notify us in advance if such services are required.


Shipping Documentation & Compliance

All export shipments include:

  • Commercial Invoice
  • Packing List
  • Certificate of Origin (if required)
  • Bill of Lading / Air Waybill
  • Any other compliance documents (Fumigation, Phytosanitary, etc.) as per destination country regulations

We strictly comply with international export standards and provide HS codes for all product types.


Incoterms & Delivery Responsibility

We work under standard Incoterms based on buyer preferences:

  • EXW (Ex Works) – Buyer arranges pickup from our warehouse.
  • FOB (Free on Board) – We deliver goods to the Indian port of loading.
  • CIF (Cost, Insurance, Freight) – We ship to buyer’s port with marine insurance.
  • DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) – Available for select countries on special request.

Damaged Goods & Insurance

All shipments are inspected prior to dispatch. However:

  • In case of damage or loss in transit, claims must be initiated within 7 days of delivery.
  • For insured shipments, we will assist in claim filing with the shipping agent or freight forwarder.
  • Uninsured shipments travel at buyer’s risk unless agreed otherwise.

Tracking & Communication

Once dispatched, we share:

  • Shipment tracking number
  • Shipping agent contact (if applicable)
  • Estimated delivery timeline

Our export team provides real-time updates and is available via email or WhatsApp to resolve any shipping-related queries.


International Shipping Destinations

We ship globally, with regular exports to:

  • USA, Canada
  • UK & Europe
  • Australia & New Zealand
  • UAE, Saudi Arabia, and other GCC countries
  • South Africa
  • Southeast Asia and Latin America

For restricted countries or special territories, please contact us before placing your order.


Additional Charges & Customs Duties

  • Shipping charges vary based on volume, weight, and destination. Final charges will be shared with the Proforma Invoice.
  • Customs duties, import taxes, and clearance fees are to be borne by the buyer unless agreed otherwise under DDP terms.
